You may have to wait a little longer if you've been waiting for GM to be able to use Tesla's Supercharger network. Initially, the rollout was scheduled for spring 2024, but recent reports from PCMag confirm that it has been pushed back to later this year.

Tesla's website still says that GM, Volvo, and Polestar cars will be able to use the 15,000 Supercharger stations starting in the spring of 2024, but both GM and Polestar have confirmed that this is not the case. Polarstar said that they now think they will be able to get access by late summer, but they didn't give any other information.

Meanwhile, GM added that Tesla's Supercharger network adapters will be available through their GM brand apps later this year. The Tesla-designed NACS (North American Charging Standard) port can be changed to the CCS (Combined Charging System) port used by EVs that aren't Teslas. This lets those EVs connect to the Supercharger network.

Ford and Rivian, which gained access to the network earlier this year, are currently distributing their own adapters to drivers. Tesla's recent layoffs of its entire Supercharger team may be contributing to the delays, but it appears we'll have to wait until the summer for more updates.

Thanks for the update.
I thought we would have to wait less for those Tesla Superchargers. But it seems we have to wait longer. But let's keep an eye on the GM's announcements. They are quite unpredictable sometimes... I hope everything will be alright soon. Until then, have you looked into alternative charging options in your area while waiting for the supercharger access?

I was really hoping we’d get access to the Tesla Supercharger network sooner too, but I guess we’ll just have to hang tight for now. GM does tend to keep us guessing with these announcements, so hopefully, things will start moving by late summer like they’re saying. Fingers crossed!

In the meantime, I’ve been looking into a few alternative charging options. There are some reliable L2 stations nearby, but nothing that quite matches the convenience of Tesla’s network. Have you found any good alternatives ?

It is not about finding good alternatives. I just use PlugShare and ChargeHub in case I need any stations, haha! Simple as that. But I guess you are using these apps, too.
